It's only in the movie, and I'm pretty sure it was created for the sole purpose of having another symbol to put on Twilight merchandise so kids can pay fifty dollars at Hot Topic for a hoodie to wear while they fantasize about being the love slave of a 100 year old vamp covered in body glitter.
