Well, LJ was recently bought by the Russians, so the issue of user freedoms has been hotly debated. This is why whenever I hear about a new online social forum I rush in to claim "grrgoyl" whether I plan to actually use it or not.

Beth did the exact same thing (signed up to be able to comment). Then she discovered Facebook and none of us have heard from her since (not that she has much of a presence there either). But since you started on Facebook, I don't expect that to be a problem for you.
