We've always noted the disconnect between tax brackets and lifestyles. There was one year when all the master bedrooms had a lovely sitting area -- well, who has time to sit and do nothing in their bedroom? As someone who works two jobs, I can't imagine ever having the time to enjoy half the features they stick into these houses. Of course, the fact is I'll never have to worry about it, since neither of my jobs is likely to make me a millionaire.

It really is! And looking at it again, it seems like they finished the room and then said, "Uh-oh, we forgot a tub. Hang on, there's some empty space here on the floor!" Every other house (costing much, much less than this one) had the tub elevated on a platform as a focal point, where it should be.
