EXACTLY. That's the other point I forgot to make. They're spending millions of dollars pointing out the wasteful policies of their opponents. The irony is stunning. Millions of dollars to produce only half-truthful ads that, after a week, become so much background noise that people are going to surf away from.

We have exactly TWO candidates running whose ads aren't smear campaigns, Mayor Hickenlooper and Rep. Betsy Markey. As it is, they're the only two I want to vote for simply because of this fact.

I also forgot to mention the funniest campaign sign I saw -- someone campaigning for Tax Assessor. Does anyone care who wins that? What a waste of money/paper.
