I might start posting again out of sheer boredom.

Too bad you might be the only 'mutual' friend I still have. Geez, you stop talking to people for 3 years and they just give up on you.

Oh, I wish someone had thought to put that in Photography for Dummies.

It doesn't look like the theaters are losing any money. I can never find a decent place to park! Can you tell I know nothing about the economy?

Ok, I'll wait for you to go with your sister, but I'll have to cut all communication with you until that moment or I won't be accountable for my actions. Remember how you were when the book came out and it took me approximately ten more hours than you to read it (figuring in time for sleeping and going out to buy the book) and you went freaking mental? That's how I'll be.

Well from what I remember, it looks like everything is fine in the NotKatie household. Until about 5 days after Death of Micah when HusbandofNotKatie is watching tv and uh-oh, is that Katie behind him? Yep, and she pulls a fantastic lift-him-up-by-his-head-and-snap-his-neck move. Then she goes upstairs, pushes NotKatie straight into the wall again, somehow killing her. Katie grabs Houston or Hoover or whatever his name is, rocks him a bit, smiles at the camera, and walks out. The subtitles tell us that StepKidofNotKatie comes home from a school trip and finds the dead bodies of her parents, but Katie and Hubert are never seen again.

So basically we're meant to reason that Katie, after having told her sister not to speak of it and begged Micah to do the same, does not contact her sister and doesn't know about the trouble with the demon. NotKatie was never very descriptive, if you remember, and anyway after the exorcism NotKatie's mind was supposed to be wiped. We're meant to realize the demon has a brain and knew that he was being fooled into haunting the sister with no son, so he becomes violent very quickly and comes up with a way to destroy the whole family. I guess we're also supposed to suspend our disbelief and figure that the end of the first movie and the end of the second movie are immediately sequential so NotKatie hasn't yet heard of Micah's death.
