Have you ever driven through Utah? Not a lot of reasons to linger

We both attribute becoming functioning, contributing members of society to a direct reaction to my mother/sister. Mom is a hoarder, so Amy and I both keep our houses very neat (not meticulously so, but still, I can't tolerate any clutter. Which can be a struggle -- Tery's mother was meticulously neat, so now that she's independent she wants to relax and be lazy once in awhile).

After day one Tery just sort of kept a low profile. Mostly she entertained Jane because she LOVES kids. On the last day I think I heard Nan ask her a question, which dollars to donuts was probably about dogs (since Tery manages a vet hospital).

I'm just sayin'. Most drunk drivers would probably insist they're doing fine too so back off, lawman.

Ugh. From our observations, Tery and I agree that dog lovers seem to be unable to grasp the notion that someone could not love dogs. Cat lovers, on the other hand, are used to being shoved aside so don't force their pets on others (srsly. In Tery's hospital, sometimes she'll patrol the cat ward and notice her employees forgot to feed them, or clean their boxes. Meanwhile the dogs get constant attention heaped on them (because they demand it, needy, clingy, smelly fuckers).
