This post is going to be short, but important.

Pull into the driveway after work.

I see crowds of people milling around in the parking lot. Not good.

I see a huge area cordoned off with police tape. Really not good.

Tery runs to my car to fill me in.

FUCKING CRYSTAL METH LAB RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO US.

SHE WAS COOKING. THE FUCKING CRACKWHORE WAS COOKING, THIS WHOLE TIME.

I'm only sorry I missed seeing her get hosed off before the 20-man SWAT Team took her away. I hope she was crying. I hope she was sobbing.

Tery was told the unit will be uninhabitable for at least 2 years. They'll be pulling shit out of there until dawn.

FU.CKING. CRACK. WHORE!

GASP. Oh wow. That is so fucked up. I want to see this on "Cops." I also feel the need to...I dunno...celebrate with you or something!

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
It's definitely cause for celebration! It's like Christmas came early this year but all I got were cops and HazMat personnel!

YOU COULD NOT WRITE BETTER DRAMA, SERIOUSLY. AWESOME. :X :X :X

True. Since starting on LJ, the silver lining to every cloud is getting good writing material from it. Thanks : )

Holy shit, that is NUTS! I mean, we all knew she was a bad person/neighbor/human being-type thing, but holy shit!!!

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I mean, I joke about it, but I had no idea there was a lab. I'm going to write a more detailed post later today prolly. But yeah, I fucking HATE her.

Good thing it hadn't caught fire yet.

There was an article in People recently about homes that used to be meth labs, and how due to the chemicals still present, they are indeed uninhabitable long after they're shut down. Bad news for the people who'd bought the homes without knowing....

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. That is just one of the many thoughts I had, all the things that could have happened to us. Tery's freaking out and looking for information about how high our risk of exposure is. I'm posting more later so watch this space.

Fucking... Wow.

And I too would like to see this on Cops. lol

And for some reason the image of Tery running to your car to fill you in feels all like some movie and makes me want to come hang out with you two more.. Yeah, I don't know where that came from.

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
lol It does sound like a movie, doesn't it? But why would you want to hang out with us? We live with crackwhores ; )

[identity profile] velmaneuwirth.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Because for reasons unrealated to crackwhores, you're fun. ;-)

[identity profile] vagynafondue.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy fucking shit, man. Thank god she finally got busted!

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. I just really, really wish I could have seen it. Stupid work.

"What makes you think she's a crackwhore?"
"Well, she turned me into a newt!"

Congratulations Elaine! Do you get to keep the dogs?
Perhaps I haven't yet read back enough in the journal, but I was wondering, if you thought she was a crackwhore, why did you not call the cops on her previously?

Thanks Mike : )

No, you didn't read back far enough, but I never really talked much about what happened. A short while after she moved in Tery found a tiny baggie of meth on our shared landing. I DID bring it to the police and they were very interested. They staked out her place for awhile, had me watch for when she threw out garbage bags so they could search them, but as far as I knew nothing came of it. This was about a year or two ago. But based on last night clearly they've just been biding their time and collecting evidence. Yay police!

What about the dogs? Waaaa.

[identity profile] grrgoyl.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I knew you were going to ask about them. The dogs are a curious piece of the puzzle. Tery was told they were taken away last night, yet this morning they're back again and barking, even though the unit is supposedly uninhabitable. Maybe they're ghost dogs....

[identity profile] ridiculicious.livejournal.com 2005-08-25 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Wah. I'm so concerned. Can't the humane society do something? Wah!

Who cares about the humans -- What about the dogs???

I'm glad the methlab is gone. That's so sucky.
