Well, a couple of things sort of nudged me into the purchase. A) The fact that when the FCC goes all digital at the end of next year (a move I thought was patently unfair and tyrannical until buying the Aquos), our 15-year-old TV will be useless anyway, and B) Best Buy's policy is if it goes on sale in the next two months (which you know it's bound to for Xmas) I can go back and get a rebate from what I paid.
I hate to be gauche and talk about price, so let me just say that with tax it rhymes with "hate thrifty."
