It makes me wonder if Elaine has set her journal's rating at "adult-ish" on her own, or if there are just that many people happening upon her journal (perhaps via the random search inbetween several abandoned and Russian-only journals) and flagging it as Too Graphic For Preteens. Either she attracts an unusual amount of Good Citizens, or she is one herself.

Clearly I give off more of an air of maturity than you do. I have never once been internet-carded when trying to see her journal. Or anyone's journal, actually.

If I respond to you, will you both receive it? I'm not sure. How can someone who has been on LJ for 5 years (GAH! 5 YEARS???) be so ignorant in the ways of posting a comment?

I was messing around in my settings one day and changed it, not realizing what the result would be. JeffyJeff brought it to my attention and I thought I had fixed it. I just tried again. Hopefully now it will take.

As much as I enjoy being the "sauciest," needing that extra click to get in might get annoying to people, so I'll just have to take my chances with the under-14-ers. I don't think there's much objectionable content here, unless you count the random F-bombs.

Knowing you both, I have to say Nicole has much more of an air of maturity.

She won't receive your comment. The assumption you have to make in this situation is that I'll get your comment via e-mail, and Alicia will see it when she comes back to respond to me. Of course, she might see my comment and disregard it without responding. Are you willing to take that risk?

The thing is, if you're too saucy and enough people complain about it, the most that will happen is the LJ staff will take it upon themselves to add LJ-cuts to your entries that are visible only to the under-14 crowd. Unless you plan to post nudes with no warning (y/y?) you don't have to worry about that extra-click business.
