Your FIRST made me smile sadly. As you can see, my journal has fallen out of vogue again lately.
Soon Ryan will be asking you to share Lucy's new condo payment. INORITE?? You're such an optimist. I don't consider the fact that John just closed on his house within the week a proven track record of paying bills. Oh, I didn't mention the house is right across the street from A BAR. Srsly, I should try to sell this bridge I've been trying to unload to Ryan, because the boy doesn't have the sense God gave a gerbil.
Looking through her balcony window is tricky when a) I live next to her, not across, and b) all of her windows and her balcony are covered with ugly bamboo shades. Interesting article. I'm trying to work out how to record where she goes with her garbage, because the officer was very interested in that too (the last time we caught her I went Dumpster diving with them). Fun? No. Exciting? Sure. But I prefer the excitement that comes with mail deliveries and DVD bonus features to this shit.
Ah, I see. That makes sense, I guess, since Kirk's parents raised him on the show. Alright then, I suppose it can stand.
I'll take it one further and say that Zachary Quinto (or even Chris Pine)should have read the final monologue in a "passing the torch" gesture. But judging from Mr. Nimoy's appearance, he probably won't get too many more chances.
HA, then you must have loved all the evidence in my post that I'm one of those fans (oh, yeah, wanted to add this: on IMDb someone wrote a review and actually said, "It's MR. Spock, people. Get it right." Actually that's wrong. His father isn't Mr. Sarek). Except I'm not afraid of change or a "reimagining." And really, considering all that's come before, with 3 spin-offs and a buttload of films, you'd think those fans would have had ample time to let go of the idea of any sanctity. Some franchises should be so lucky as to have their canon reimagined and spoofed and homaged repeatedly, as opposed to sinking into oblivion (*cough*Firefly*cough*).
