I forgot to mention the coolest thing about my hat -- the eBay seller included a copy of the note from Ma Cobb: "My Dear Boy..." It was perfect. Your friend should totally do that!
I like the speed, but I also like all the little changes. Coming from XP it's pretty radically different (you probably felt the same way going to Vista) and at first I was like, "I'll never figure this out" because EVERYTHING was different. But the more I poke around the more I like how much easier a lot of the changes make it.
