I spent the whole post worrying that you'd been attacked and murdered by a traveling hobo or thrown from your bike, legs broken, unable to crawl to safety. (This is perhaps slightly unreasonable as you'd clearly made it back home, safe as houses and ready to post about your adventure.)
This is kind of scary, this business of going out on your own to lands unconquered, though it is very romantic. I might be imagining this park as much emptier and more sinister than it is in reality.
It's smart to bring your camera along. It'll be interesting to look back in the fall at all of the places you'll go this summer. I'm surprised that there are so many places for a cyclist to go over there! Here we've got only the beaches, where in my opinion no sane person would ever ride alone. We don't really support exercise in the midwest! Gets in the way of our eating and our college sports speculation.
Is it definite still that Chris is moving in with Ryan only for a month, or have they become so serious in this week that Chris is determined to stay where he is? He must be annoyed with Ryan's lack of proper Olympic training facilities by now!
