A bike wheel is made up of the center metal rim, the outer tire part, and in between the two is the tube that gets inflated. This allows you to carry a spare tube (or two, now) rolled up in your pack. Whoever invented these things was just brilliant.

I forgot to point out on the map that you can't just cut across the park because there's this stupid big old reservoir in the center. Hence the need to walk around the entire perimeter to get home.

Haha, no, I doubt she accidentally biked either. My sister the marathon runner always smugly points out there's nothing mechanical to break down on a runner.

Yeah, I made it kind of obvious with the drawing of the big road on either side of the building. If only it were that obvious to me on that fateful day. But srsly. The only way I could have made it worse was if I had circled back around to my bike and picked up the office on the second try.

LOL A vlog opera. Anything if it will get me on Ellen.

Nope, the seat was a lovely neutral gray. I DID want to die. Since there are no gentlemen left, I can say that I had been pretty light until that day, in fact thought I was almost done. I blame all that unexpected walking in getting things going. To put it crudely, at least the bike seat sort of pushes things back in.

OMG that sounds horrendous. Did anyone else notice? That's the sort of thing that creates life-ruining nicknames in high school. Not to try to one-up you, but once I got mine while sleeping at my boyfriend/fiance's house. He woke up, saw me in a pool of blood and thought he had shot me in his sleep (he kept a gun under the bed). I hate being a chick sometimes (well, once a month). When is menopause?
