Again, today's photos are going to be a hodge-podge of highlights. I just couldn't be arsed this year, frankly.

Deb really, really liked this house. It had a dutch door that charmed both of us (Deb probably more than me. She prefers country kitchen/traditional/boring over modern/sleek/high-tech)

I guess that door was an anomaly, because the house also had this VERY modern fixture (LOVE)

Also loved this jacuzzi tub, with contoured sloping arm rests that felt divine (yes, I climbed in to find out. We're pretty brash considering we have no intention of making an offer on any of the homes, and the poor helpless agents hoping for a sale damn well know it)

Even more modern fixture in the basement bar area. Looks like a 'bot from Star Wars

Outside, a communal garden area

The next house was directly across the lane, and really appealed to me. We fantasized about living next door to each other, before remembering we can hardly stand each other for longer than a day when we're ten minutes apart.

A frakkin GINORMOUS faucet. It was practically the centerpiece of the room, it was so damn huge

Love this breakfast nook

Two-sided fireplace between the living room and patio. LOVE

I know this is an old British slogan but for some reason it's been popping up quite often in my awareness lately. Deb offered to embroider it for my wall

Another black wood and zebra rug nursery. For some reason the sage (or is it seafoam?) makes the rug more bearable for me (pun intended!)

One last adorable. This loft playroom area. It was huge! Except it was two floors up from the main, so your child could be bleeding out up here and you'd never know

Had these AWESOME bed-sized window seats

This boy was so adamantly opposed to leaving that we joked with the mother that she might as well make an offer on the house

This was what sold me on the house. Off the master was this great, totally private little rooftop patio area. The perfect getaway for breakfast or to read or blog or whatever you do in private

Okay, new house. Didn't think much of the home itself, but it had these beautiful painted horses, about 20 of them

You're my favorite, Spirally Starshine

Impossibly skinny console table (which we agreed would be the perfect size for our tiny apartments. Maybe not Deb's, who has no wall art and whose furniture is for the most part actually meant for camping)

Impossibly skinny TV. Srsly. This was an actual TV, not a cardboard prop

This console is very showy and over-the-top, yet surprisingly appealed to us both for some reason

Oh dude, those long window seats are amazing! I would never leave.

Haha, that angel at the bottom looks kind of like Will Arnett. I'd buy a console with GOB on it.

Haha, GOB as Archangel Gabriel! (or whoever he's supposed to be). Love it.

Naturally I had to stretch out on one. HEAVEN. We figured if you didn't have little kids it could double as a Greg Bradyesque bachelor pad attic bedroom.

That sink with the ginormous faucet? Love it. Love how deep it is, and it's probably made of that kind of marble that breaks all of your glassware. I bet you could fit an industrial sized chili pot in there.

The garden's a nice feature, too.

I'm sorry, did you say something? I can't seem to drag my eyes away from your icon.
