Friday Five: Me against the World
1. What food do you like that most people hate?

I don't have many exotic tastes. When I was little I loved mayonnaise sandwiches (just what it sounds like. Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce, hold the meat, hold everything but the bread and the mayo). I'm drooling now just thinking about them....

2. What food do you hate that most people love?

This category is slightly larger. I'll just narrow it down to all spicy foods.

3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?

MOST unappealing? Probably Gwyneth Paltrow. I mean COME ON. She is practically translucent. It wouldn't hurt her to try a mayonnaise sandwich once in awhile, is all I'm saying. Also Richard Gere. Prime example of someone getting through life on looks alone and zero talent.

4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find attractive?

This is easy. Alan Cumming of course (still blows my mind that I know people who have no idea who he is). Second is easily Jonathan Pryce (Sam in Brazil, Lytton Strachey in Carrington...probably best known as Mr. Dark in Something Wicked This Way Comes, where I first fell in love with him). Again someone whose name only draws blank, uncomprehending stares.

5. What popular trend baffles you?

Reality TV shows. Although I admit I have allowed myself to get sucked in to one or two of them, but only the less obnoxious ones (Queer Eye, Boy Meets Boy). We all have our guilty pleasures.

Mayo sandbos - wowsers! yeh - can't say I ever had one! Were they strictly mayo or miracle-whip? I am out on Richard Gere too - he bores me to tears. I tolerated him in Chicago. And Alan - you know it's funny, but the first cd Mike gave me to listen to was the soundtrack to "The Anniversary Party"... We both loved that movie. And I am sick sick sick on reality shows - a little voyeuristic I suppose! XXOO

I can't tell you how much I loved "Anniversary Party," but mostly because it is his only movie where he doesn't have some secondary background role (although the dialogue is just too funny in it). Oh, I wish I were Jennifer Jason-Leigh (even though she is someone else I really can't stand!)
