CARSON QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Laying out some pages of magazines for Straight Guy:
These are things that I pulled when I was thinking about you. I pulled some other things when I was thinking about you too.....
(this is the first episode we have seen where Straight Guy actually got a little fahklempt when the Fab 5 left. LOL)

Date: 2003-08-29 11:56 pm (UTC)Hmmmm. They started out with James telling Andra the "twist" and she burst into tears and stomped out of the room before he even finished. She said how unfair it was and how now she looks like an idiot on nat'l tv for pushing these guys on James (like they should have known some were straight). James was ticked off but handled it considerably better.
Then he devised all kinds of questions trying to figure out who the straight one was. Tery pointed out how unfair this was because now he couldn't focus on who he necessarily had a connection with because he had to be caught up with this stupidity. He had a one-on-one date with all 3 guys. First was Franklin. They went to a spa together and then had a candlelit dinner while still in their robes. Franklin said he was disappointed because they didn't really have a conversation, it was just James firing all these questions at him. Franklin put his hand on James' knee in the limo while they were talking. James kissed him when he dropped him off, but of course it wasn't a "real" kiss.
Next was Brian. They got to go in a hot-air balloon and then have lunch together. Brian wouldn't talk about his ex-boyfriend with James (suspicious?) I felt Brian and James had zero chemistry, but then, I think Brian looks like a monkey and is most likely the last straight boy.
Last was Wes. First they went in a horse-drawn carriage through the city, then back to the house for a candle-lit dinner by the pool. There were about 200 votive candles set up on a table that looked really pretty, until they slowly joined together in a towering flame that almost set the whole place on fire. It was during this dinner that the famous quote came out. James' "sure-fire" question to determine orientation was "tell me a secret about yourself that 40% of your friends don't know." Wes answered, "Well....I'm gay." I forget what James said, but the gist was that Wes had never come out and actually admitted he was gay through the whole series. Hence the "joke": "you assumed I was gay....why?" At the end of their date it seemed their goodbye hug was a lot more lingering and I honestly felt the most sparks between these two.
In the wrap-up James hinted that he had a good idea who was straight. I guess we will have to wait until next week to find out (no one was kicked out this week.)
Grrrrrrrrr. Fucking Bravo.

Man, I really hope Wes is truly gay and I hope he wins. He's been my favorite since the first episode. Though I have this weird feeling that he might be the straight one...I have no idea why.
But if he doesn't win, then it should definately Franklin.
As for Brian...meh. I hope he's the straight one. How'd he even make it to the top 3 anyway?Probably because of the way they set up the groups for voting. It's a totally unfair system. But then again, there seem to be a lot of unfair aspects to this show...
Tery pointed out how unfair this was because now he couldn't focus on who he necessarily had a connection with because he had to be caught up with this stupidity. <--- Like that.
Argh, I agree with Tery.
What James should have done was try and fully makeout with each one of them at the beginning of their one-on-ones. And whoever resisted or seemed awkward, he could assume is the straight one and then just focus on the other two.
(Plus, it would have been fun to watch ;p)
Ha, well anyway, NOTHING is going to keep me from seeing next week's episode. NOTHING.
